Shot Gun Wedding :)

Heather and Chris Morton got married on March 27, 2009 in a small ceremony in Christopher's parents back yard. It was a beautiful ceremony and everyone had a great time. Here are some pictures from the ceremony.

Elliott's Trip to the Zoo

Elliott goes to the babysitter everyday while I am at work. The picture above is with Elliott and her friend Sola who is staying at the baby sitters for two months.
Here is Elliott with her friend and occasional tormentor Kate, Tara's Daughter.

Here is Elliott at the zoo with one of her babysitters Ruth. And the above pics are all of her first trip to the zoo.

Broken Foot :(

I broke my foot on Tuesday at work when I went to stand up and walk on it. I spent about 6 hours in the ER, it took forever. But in 4-6 weeks it should be fixed and good as new :) Until then, I have to wear this huge boot and limp around. Blogs to come soon with details from Heather's Wedding and Elliott's trip to the zoo. Keep checking our blog :) Feel free to comment or say hi

Our First Four Months

Elliott was born on December 3rd, 2008 after I was in labor for 24 hours or so. They called me in to be induced on December 2nd around 10 Am. I was dialated about 2 CM when I got there, and going from 2 to 10 took quite some time and effort. After laying on my back for hours and hours, and only dilating to 3 CM after 5 hours on a pitocin drip, they decided to give me the epidural a1nd to break my water and see if that would work. After doing that, there was still another 16 hours or so until Elliott was born, but she finally came at 12:22 PM on December 3rd. She was 7lbs, 6 oz and was 20 inches long. Stephen, Grandma, my Mom, and Rachelle were in the room while she was delivered. While we were at the hospital, we had many visitors. Jasmine, Shannon, Ruth, Heidi, Maria, Pete, Stephen, my grandma, grandpa, mom, sister, Aunt Rachelle, Alexis, Anna, Addy, and Chris, Amy, and Lauren all came to see me and Elliott. After I left the hospital on December 5th, I was never happier to be home. I settled Elliott and I into our new life together in my bedroom (luckily it is pretty big). I had one month of maternity leave, which was not long enough. During that time, Elliott and I spent all day and night together. We celebrated her first holiday on Christmas Eve.
After New Years, I went back to work. I spend as much time with her as possible when I am not at work. On February 3rd, Elliott smiled for the first time when it was not gas related.
On February 14th, Elliott and I went to Flagstaff to hang out with her 2nd cousin Jayden, Great Aunt Mandy, and Great Great Aunt Julie. We spent the night in Flagstff (Elliott's first overnight trip) and we had so much fun hanging out with the family. Elliott's Great Uncle Jason and Great Aunt and Uncle Andrea and Clayton, and second cousin Josh also came over and spent some time with us while we were there. On March 15th, my Great Aunt and Uncle Lori and Jerry came to visit with their kids (my 2nd cousins Tyler, Erin, Abby, and Katie). Elliott enjoyed meeting her third cousins and her Great-Great Aunt and Uncle. I think she also liked that they all fought over who got to hold her. Elliott is so lucky to have so many friends and family members who love her so much.Elliott is days away from being 4 months old. She loves to make noises (it is impossible to silence her anymore). She loves to say "gooh", "gah", "oooh", "aaahh", and this weekend she learned to squeal (and let me tell you, she has not stopped squealing since she learned). She also can laugh now, and thinks fake sneezes are the funniest thing in the world. She loves to sit up, and throws a fit if anyone tries to lay her down (how dare anyone think she is a baby). She spends lots of time in her Bumbo, which is one of the coolest baby products ever invented. She is so so close to rolling over as well.
Elliott also ate her first solid foods this past week. She loved the sweet potatos, but still is not a fan of the cereal. I can see why, it looks like paste.
